FOR THE FIRST 48 HOURS:
IF YOU SEE ANY BUGS, DIRT, ETC., LEAVE IT ALONE. AFTER 48 HOURS, IT SHOULD WIPE OFF WITH A WET WASHCLOTH.
WAIT AT LEAST 36 HOURS BEFORE CAULKING THE TUB. YOU MAY TOUCH THE TUB, BUT DO NOT PUT ANY PRESSURE ON IT. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON YOUR TUBE OF CAULKING (WE RECOMMEND POLY SEAM SEAL). ALLOW IT TO DRY FOR THE RECOMMENDED TIME OR IT WILL NOT WORK.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS: for the first 30 days, only soap and water should be used. After this time, use only non-abrasive, liquid cleaners on your refinished surface. Use spray cleaners such as Formula 409, Fantastic, or any liquid cleaner which does not contain abrasives, bleach, or chlorine. For best results, spray the surface and let it penetrate for 3-5 minutes before wiping. A “Tuffy” scrub pad or any plastic cleaning pad designed for use on Teflon surfaces works well. Extend the life of your refinished surface with the use of “Gel Gloss” (available at most super markets) or any polymer-based polish every six months.
If your tub has had a textured non-slip surface applied in the bottom. DO NOT USE ANY BATHMATS, STRIPS, BUTTERFLIES, FISH, OR ANYTHING ELSE ON YOUR TUB. IT WILL RUIN THE FINISH AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
CHIP REPAIRS AND TOUCH-UPS: When our workmen do a chip repair or touch-up, the finish will need 24-48 hours to cure thoroughly. Please do not use the fixture during this time and see to it that the repaired areas remain free of water.
Bathtubs, wall tile, and fiberglass fixtures are warranted for a period of Two Years against peeling or other failure of adhesion of the coating. Refinishing done on sinks, counter tops, floors, spot (chip repairs) and all other surfaces are warranted for a period of One Year against failures of adhesion, unless some other period is otherwise stated on the face of the invoice. This warranty is provided by the office listed above which performed the work and is subject to the following conditions which will void your warranty:
1. The surface must not be allowed to remain continuously wet from items such as bath mats left on the surface without drying out between use.
2. The fixture must not be used for water storage or contain standing water for extended periods of time. 3. Damage caused by continuous wetness from leaking or dripping plumbing.
4. Damage, chips, or nicks caused by sharp or falling object or by misuse.
5. Staining or discoloration from chemicals, bleaches, rust, hair dyes, or bath oils and soaps.
6. The use of abrasive cleaners.
7. Any movement in the substructure of the surface which causes movement in the refinished surface resulting in cracks or splits in the refinished surface or grout lines.
In the event of any failure covered under this warranty, A.G. Smith Refinishing will, at our option (1) repair the failed area, (2) refinish the entire fixture, or (3) refund the price of the job to you. Caulk, plumbing, and shower doors are not warranted. Travel charges may apply if the fixture is located out of our service area.
